Milwaukee Event DetailsArt and Water for AllDate: Saturday-Sunday, July. 31-1, 2010Time: 6:30pm - 12:00amPhone: 414-324-4114Two local college students will be hosting Art and Water for All: an art show in Milwaukee’s hip Walker’s Point area to benefit the non-profit organization Ma-Kah Water for All. Ma-Kah Water for All was founded by Sam Dinga after his sister, Ma Kah Rosemary Dinga, of 40 years passed away. Originally from Cameroon, West Africa, Sam has pledged to build 40 wells throughout Cameroon in his sister’s name, bringing clean drinking water to villagers in desperate need. The art show will take place at Live Artists Studio located at 228 S. 1st Street, Milwaukee on Saturday, July 31st. Doors open at 6:30pm for a night of live music from DJ ZO, TakI Allstars, and Undercover Organism, appetizers from Pura Vida Hospitality, Rustico pizza, beer and wine, a raffle of goodies from local Milwaukee shops, live art performances, and artwork for purchase from 24 Wisconsin artists like Archie Andros and Carrie Chimenti. An admission fee of $10.00 will be charged at entrance. All proceeds go directly to Ma-Kah Water for All.
